Quicker in the shower

I made the pledge to reduce time of my showers - easy enough to do once I think about it while in shower and now down to about 9 minutes and was 15 minutes before.

Faster on the train

I started to take the train to work, it does work out a little cheaper but the main advantage is that I am not sitting in traffic for long periods.

Taught from a young age

Living at home with my parents and have made a few energy pledges – switching off slights was easy as I have been taught from an early age to always turn the lights off when you leave a room.

I always do this it's very easy and instead of having the main light on in the sitting room all the time I use a small lamp with a low watt bulb.

Switching off lights was no problem, it also got the kids involved and increased their understanding of energy saving and my son took it upon himself to check up on the rest of us!
