Replace your boiler

The older your boiler is the less efficient it will be. Modern condensing boilers can be over 90% efficient in the case of gas and as much as 97% efficient for oil, if you buy the A rated models. As a result they use much less energy to provide your heating and hot water than older boilers. Replacing a 15 year old boiler could save around 20-35% on your gas or oil usage if you specify an 'A' rated boiler.

This pledge could save you around 900kg of CO₂ and reduce your annual energy bill by around €225 per annum in the case of a gas system or almost double these amounts for an oil fired system.
